His family says, “He left as he lived, gently, gracefully and thoughtfully. Without fuss.” Mr. Babbitt was committed to a life of public service, from serving in the Army to leading Flagstaff and Northern Arizona as Mayor, Councilmember and Coconino County Supervisor.
Among his many volunteer roles, he was a mentor to Boy Scout Troop 36. His family says, “Paul taught them the importance of listening and staying calm in both outdoor activities and life.”
A public celebration of life is scheduled for 3:30 p.m., Sunday, April 14, 2024, at Flagstaff City Hall. Interment will be held at a later date at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
