There are a plethora of new skin treatments – some work and some are less effective. When you are considering anti-aging treatments, you need to evaluate a number of factors in addition to effectiveness including your own personal goals, issues with your skin, cost, long-term commitment required, toxicity and invasiveness.
I would like to address of few of the most frequently asked questions and comments posed by our clients regarding the treatments offered at The Prescott DermaLift Clinic, as well as other options.
The Prescott Dermalift Clinic is Northern Arizona’s only provider of the Quantum Hydration Facial utilizing state-of-the-art electro-ion technology to rejuvenate skin and muscles in the face and neck. It provides a new non-toxic, non-invasive alternative to Botox, fillers, lasers and plastic surgery.
Combined with the BioLift, they address the two major causes of aging: loss of collagen and loss of muscle tone in the face and neck.
How do These Procedures Really Work?
They are different and complementary.
The Quantum Hydration Facial utilizes saline and negative ions to stimulate deep into the dermis to elevate collagen production.
Electro-ionization has immediate and long-term results achieved non-invasively with no pain or down time. And, is the only treatments that can be used over and around the eye.
A second procedure, the BioLift, delivers a fine electrical current, enabling cells to recharge and hold a higher electrical potential. It essentially re-educates the muscles making skin vibrant, healthier and more youthful looking.
So how do these treatments differ from others out there?
They are based on a healing response versus the inflammatory response created by peels, micro-dermabrasion and laser therapies.
They are non-toxic and non-addictive. Treatments such as Botox have to be maintained because the muscle is basically frozen and atrophies. Biolift can restore tone to those who want to stop using Botox.
The face looks younger but more natural, less “frozen” than the effect resulting from the use of Botox, fillers and plastic surgery. Although Botox provides a quick fix, it is a long-term commitment because the muscles become atrophied and if a patient does not keep it up, their face will actually sag from lack of muscle tone.
With a surgical facelift, the muscles and skin are cut and stretched to produce a younger appearance, but the lift does not address muscle tone or the amount of collagen. They are extremely expensive and take six to eight weeks to recover. Within a few years, the skin will again begin to sag.
Everything we do is based on restoring the skin using its own natural mechanisms so the results are cumulative.
No after treatment is required after the Dermalift procedures because the skin is super hydrated and radiant with no downtime.
What is the Cost and How Many Treatments are Necessary?
Our treatments offer one of the most affordable options – both treatments are currently being offered for $90. At our initial consultation we determine each person’s goals. Some patients want to just look more refreshed, rested and have a healthier glow. This can be accomplished in just one treatment. If the goal is to essentially have a non-surgical facelift, four to eight treatments may be needed.
There will be free seminars Aug. 17 and Sept. 21 at 5 p.m. QCBN
