Eight young men and women between the ages of 21 to 40 have been honored as “Visionary Award Winners” of the Prescott Area Young Professionals organization (PAYP).
Recipients were praised for playing key leadership roles in shaping their community’s business development for the betterment of the Greater Prescott Area.
Those who were honored were Jennifer Dewees of Ponderosa Hotel Management Services; Kathy Federwisch of Country Bank; Elisabeth Haugan with Yavapai Humane Society;
Chorissa Karstens from Yavapai College; Zachary Leonard with NextCare Urgent Care; Micah Mailand of Superstition Meadery; Neal Sneller with the Prescott Chamber of Commerce; and Ann Steward of Capital Country Club.
PAYP President Ariana Bennett said the organization intends to prepare young business leaders for opportunities and challenges ahead. Bennett, an account executive with CableOne Advertising in Prescott, said she and PAYP Vice President Breeanya Hinkel will continue to foster an environment of networking and professional growth for the more than 100 members of the organization.
“One of our really special events is the ‘Party in the Pines’ fundraising event,” said Bennett. “We’ll be doing it on June 3. It’ll be the biggest beer festival in Central and Northern Arizona. Last year, we raised more than $10,000, which we contributed to support the ‘Adopt a Classroom’ program here in the Quad Cities area.”
Bennett praised the recipients for their many volunteer efforts to connect, educate and impact the community. The eight were honored during the Prescott Chamber of Commerce annual meeting. QCBN
