Yavapai Regional Medical Center (YRMC) was recently recognized as one of Arizona’s highest ranked in the U.S. News & World Report 2015-16 Best Hospitals report.
“Our team was very pleased to learn of this recognition. It reflects the collective focus of the YRMC team on providing excellent patient care,” said John Amos, President and Chief Executive Officer, YRMC. “I congratulate all of our clinicians, caregivers and support staff for their dedication to outstanding, community-based healthcare.”
The U.S. News & World Report 2015-16 report rated YRMC as:
- Sixth highest among Arizona’s 110 hospitals
- Second highest among Northern Arizona’s 24 hospitals
- “High Performing” for hip replacement (11 percent of all U.S. hospitals performing this surgery earned this ranking)
- “High Performing” for knee replacement (10 percent of all U.S. hospitals performing this surgery earned this ranking)
Among “Adult Procedures” – chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD), heart bypass surgery, heart failure, hip replacement and knee replacement – YRMC was recognized for controlling hospital-acquired infections in the U.S. News & World Report ranking.
“This means the YRMC team works vigilantly on behalf of patients on infection control,” said Amos. “In a hospital environment, this is a complex process that requires team participation in every aspect of patient care. YRMC has been recognized by other well-respected consumer organizations for its safe surgical record in the past. I was pleased to see this continue with the U.S. News and World Report ranking.”
