Most of the holidays will include some type of culinary celebration.
While the sun is warming, the birds are chirping, the flowers are blooming and the garden is growing, May is such an awakening month. For families with school-aged children, May brings closure to the end of the school year and a quick summer break will bring new adventures of travel, swimming, camping and backyard parties.
Major holidays that are in May are:
- May 1 – May Day – A celebration of spring in many countries.
- May 5 – Cinco de Mayo – This day celebrates the victory of the Mexican army over the French army at The Battle of Puebla in 1862.
- May 8 – Mother’s Day – Honoring Mothers for the love and work that they do and have done.
- May 21 – Armed Forces Day – It is a time to honor the men and women who currently serve in the Armed Forces in the United States.
- May 30 – Memorial Day – It honors those who died serving in the United States military.
Most of the holidays will include some type of culinary celebration. BBQs, brunch, tacos and more will be flowing through the digestive system.
As families and groups gather around the tables, there will be new memories created. As a caterer in the community for the past seven years, Mother’s Day has been the highlight of the year. Mother’s Day is the celebrations of all mothers, young and old.
“Brunch doesn’t need to be limited to just mom, this can be…for any important person in your life, and it doesn’t have to happen on Mother’s Day. The primary goal of the occasion is to spend time with your loved ones and show them how much you appreciate them,” said Jackie Thesing in the Organic Valley Blog.
Goods from the Garden will have a lovely Mother’s Day Brunch to celebrate with the community, by reservation only. Brunch is celebrated every Sunday at Goods from the Garden at the Garden Event Center at Prescott Gateway Mall. QCBN
