Whether you need space to think or a warm inviting business workspace to meet with your colleagues in Downtown Prescott, the SpringHill Suites by Marriott offers a simple and easy solution to meetings on the go! With today’s mobile technology, work needs to happen anywhere, anytime. Marriott International launched this highly innovative program in 2013 and the SpringHill Suites Prescott joined in the Spring of 2014. Customers can go online and book small communal meeting spaces in hotel Greatroom lobbies just like booking a hotel room.
Workspace on Demand (www.workspaceondemand.marriott.com) is a collaboration between Marriott and Liquid Space, a mobile/web app, connecting people with places to work. The SpringHill Suites in Prescott is one of 24 rentable communal meeting places in Arizona and hundreds of available spaces in the country. In Prescott, you can reserve space for one to five people by the hour with a choice of three seating areas. Once booked, the front desk will greet you with a friendly “hello,” and get you settled into your reserved space for the time period you need. Stay productive while you work with amenities at your fingertips, from free Wi-Fi, complimentary coffee, tea and water, and plenty of power outlets to keep you humming all day! No more meetings in noisy restaurants or trying to find an affordable space for four people to meet.
This innovative program is in direct response to the need to service mobile employees, entrepreneurs and consultants. Estimates are that more than one billion people are mobile workers – those without office space – according to the research firm IDC. And apparently the demand is there because as of July 2014, Liquid Space reported 1,060 percent growth over 2013 for On-Demand Workspace. More than 16,000 corporations in the United States have used the service offered by more than 30 hotel brands nationwide. Marriott International has nearly 500 hotels in the United States offering the program, inviting guests and people living and working nearby to connect, collaborate and get work done.
Rental prices are different at every location. The Marriott in Miami is $75 per hour, the Marriott Renaissance in Washington D.C. is $35 per hour, and the Courtyard by Marriott in New York City/Manhattan runs $25 per hour. The best price tag is at the Courtyard by Marriott in Newark: free. That is the same price tag as the SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Prescott. QCBN
