The Advanced Prosthetics Institute (API), a tertiary care dental group providing comprehensive and seamless interdisciplinary approach to dental rehabilitation, has opened its doors in the Prescott area. The announcement was made by the Institute’s Founder and Director, Jason C. Campbell, D.D.S.
API becomes the first practice of its kind in the Prescott area, designed to fill a service void in the Tri-City area. Its focus is collaborative complex partial or full-mouth rehabilitation and reconstruction for functionally debilitated patients.
According to Dr. Campbell, services are provided using the latest techniques and technology including CT Scans for 3-D imaging, the E4D Laser CAD/CAM System allowing for same day crowns and bridges, the T-Scan for bite correction (a patented sensor diagnostic device that records a patient’s bite force dynamics) and digital x-rays. Advanced technology like these are designed to help people who suffer from or need rehabilitation with:
Collapsed bite; difficult jaw relationships, removable prosthetics, difficult combination cases; implants requiring support prosthesis such as bridges, crowns and dentures; missing or compromised teeth due to genetics or trauma; TMD/TMJ; splint therapy; limited or full equilibration; management of functional issues and migraine association; range of motion concerns; management of difficult cosmetic issues and repairs and various prosthetic dental devices.Candidates for services at API include but are not limited to:
Acid reflex/acid erosion (gastric or eating disorders); drug abusers; severe Bruxism (teeth grinding); severe periodontal; severe headaches; previous or potential denture wearers; prosthetic sensitive or intolerant; and people with a cleft palate.
Dr. Campbell stated that the concept for API creates an interdisciplinary collaborative effort with all health care providers to provide optimum wellness for their patients. This includes dentists, physicians, specialists, chiropractors, physical therapists, massage therapists, naturopathic physicians and psychiatrists. Services offered by API will be provided by Dr. Campbell along with a team of specialists selected by him to co-manage a patient’s treatment plan.
The services of API offer many patient benefits. According to Dr. Campbell, improving one’s quality of life, confidence and self-esteem and enhancing the way a patient feels both emotionally and physically are all important attributes. But perhaps the most significant attribute according to Dr. Campbell is achieving optimum health.
“We’re excited to offer the services of API. We feel there is a strong need in the community to provide a seamless program for complex rehabilitation cases requiring some form of prosthetics,” remarked Dr. Campbell. “API is committed to providing the best possible personalized care for predictable outcomes for treatments and rehabilitation for our patients. We also know that offering this service locally will be a real convenience. No longer will patients have to make multiple trips out of town (i.e.; Phoenix) to obtain comprehensive prosthetic care.”
