“We are thrilled to be recognized for giving back to the Quad Cities,” said PAAR Chief Executive Officer Suzanne Westrum.
“We are thrilled to be recognized for giving back to the Quad Cities,” said PAAR Chief Executive Officer Suzanne Westrum. “Realtors aren’t just here to write up contracts, they live in these communities, too, and want to make them the best communities by supporting civic and non-profit organizations.”
PAAR includes community service as part of its strategic plan. Just in the last year, the organization has conducted two food drives for the Chino Valley Food Bank, packed more than 350 care packages for Prescott Meals On Wheels, created an Early Childhood Development Nook at the Prescott Valley Public Library, collected Coats for Kids and held a towel drive for the Yavapai Humane Society.
PAAR also sponsored the 4th Annual Quad Cities ATHENA Leadership Awards in September. “Our membership is mostly women. Our president and president-elect are women,” said Westrum. “We wanted to participate in a program that recognizes and supports women in leadership.”
PAAR, made up of more than 2,500 members, is a non-profit organization that manages the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) of homes for sale, advocates for private property rights and fair housing, and offers educational classes for realtors.
“We have a school in the Prescott area where real estate agents can take continuing education classes for their education and code of ethics requirements,” said Westrum.
