Yavapai College is hosting a pair of public open forums in October to present a draft of its 10-year Campus Master Plan (CMP) to the community. The meetings are scheduled for Thursday, October 10, 11 a.m. to noon on the Verde Valley campus (601 Black Hills Drive, Clarkdale, Bldg. M, room 137) and onFriday, October 11, 11 a.m. to noon on the Prescott campus (1100 E. Sheldon St., Bldg. 19, room 147).
For the past six months, the College has been working with SmithGroup JJR to collect information and create a Campus Master Plan that will ensure that the College has the facilities needed to provide quality programming and services in a cost-efficient manner for the next 10 years. The process has included input from the community at large as well as YC faculty, staff and students.
Information about the process and the Campus Master Plan is available on the Yavapai College web site at http://www.yc.edu/v4content/ facilities/.
“We believe the implementation of this plan over the next 10 years will enhance the College’s ability to deliver quality educational programs, regional economic development support and culturally enriching activities—all in a cost-efficient manner,” noted Yavapai College President Dr. Penny Wills.
“We encourage the public to attend, as proposed changes may have an effect on the locations through which we fulfill our Mission and Goals,” Dr. Wills added. “We will consider the feedback we receive at these sessions as we finalize the Campus Master Plan by the end of this calendar year.”
