The public is invited to a free reception with the artists on Thursday, November 14 in the Verde Valley and Friday, November 15 in Prescott. Both receptions are from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with refreshments served.
The exhibited works will showcase the variety of media and classes offered at Yavapai College on both campuses. “These shows offer our students a chance to experience gallery applications and the necessary skills of framing and photographing their work,” explained Megan Dean, the gallery manager. “It’s an excellent opportunity for the community to see diverse styles and concepts in art and to purchase local art from up-and-coming artists.”
The exhibits and receptions are free and open to the public. Yavapai College Art Galleries are located on the Prescott campus (1100 E. Sheldon St.) and the Verde Valley campus, 601 Black Hills Drive in Clarkdale. Prescott gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., and Verde Valley gallery hours are Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
