The Aviation Historical Program at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is presenting, Cheating Death: Combat Air Rescues in Vietnam and Laos. Test Pilot and Combat Veteran George Marrett will travel to Prescott for the presentation Wednesday, February 12th at 7:00 p.m.
Captain Marrett’s 188 combat missions May 1968 to April 1969, as a “Sandy” rescue pilot in the 602nd Fighter Squadron (C) flying from Royal Thai Air Force bases to rescue downed Air Force and Navy pilots in a WWII vintage Douglas A-1 Skyraider, are featured in this multi-media Aviation History Program.
