“The joy these bicycles bring is a reflection of why we are dedicated to making a positive difference in our community.”
The bikes, provided by Findlay Subaru Prescott, were assembled by C and C Cyclery and volunteers. Mike Miranda, a BMX Hall of Fame inductee, Marin bike representative and operator of the non-profit Wheelhouse BMX Track in Prescott Valley, offered his bike building expertise to assemble the fleet. He and Casey Hines, of C and C Cyclery, ensured all assembled bicycles were built to specifications. Lazer helmet representative Chris Manny supplied the safety gear.
“We’re thrilled to be part of initiatives that directly benefit our community, especially the younger generations,” said Findlay Subaru Prescott General Manager Jason Jenkins. “The joy these bicycles bring is a reflection of why we are dedicated to making a positive difference in our community.”
Casey and Carmen Hines, owners of C and C Cyclery, say they created their “Paying it Forward” program because they believe in the transformative power of bicycles to create positive experiences for children. “By teaming up with Findlay Subaru Prescott, and providing a means of healthy transportation, we aim to inspire a love for cycling and outdoor activities that will stay with these kids for a lifetime,” said Casey.
The Boys and Girls Club of Prescott Valley was thrilled to receive the bikes and helmets. “We are incredibly thankful for the generosity of C and C Cyclery and Findlay Subaru Prescott,” said CEO Alex Heinemann. “This donation will not only provide our members with a fun and exciting way to stay active but also reinforces the importance of community support in their lives.”
