Glassford Hill Middle School is celebrating National School Choice Week with essay and poster contests and an all-school assembly. The goal of the events is to celebrate the students, parents, and staff that have chosen Glassford Hill Middle School.
The celebration’s poster and essay contests are taking place this week, and the school assembly is being held on February 1. The celebration at Glassford Hill Middle School is one of 5,500 independently-planned events taking place during National School Choice Week 2014 – the nation’s largest-ever celebration of educational opportunity.
Glassford Hill Middle School is a STEAM focus school of choice. The school’s mission is to promote academic growth, foster respect and acceptance of others, ease the transition from primary school to high school, and encourage the development of individual responsibility, all in a developmentally diverse setting.
National School Choice Week shines a positive spotlight on effective education options for children – including traditional public schools, public charter schools, magnet schools, private schools, online academies, and homeschooling.
