The Yavapai County Office of Emergency Management team, the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors, federal, state, local, and tribal partners are strongly recommending that all residents prepare for the 2015 fire season by participating in the Southwest Wildfire Awareness Week through the end of this week.
This year’s theme is “Where We Live, How We Live, Living with Wildfire.” The focus of the week is to increase awareness and to promote actions that reduce the risk from wildfire to homes and communities.
