I visited a quaint, out-of-the-way restaurant that made me once again proud of our little town. I have traveled to more than 19 different countries and have enjoyed the local cultural and cuisines, but my favorite stop was always Thailand. Thailand was a mix of coastal and inland flavors and methods of cooking.
Dee Thai Express, at 520 West Sheldon Street, Suite 1, in Prescott, has a relaxing atmosphere and an aroma that flooded me with memories of my time in Thailand. Akaga Bernard and Thitiporn Buaket, the co-owners of Dee Thai Express, cooked together for three months before deciding to open their restaurant. They are focusing on authentic Thai cuisine and the quality and freshness of my dish did not disappoint.
Dee Thai Express has been open since July 14 and already has seen many repeat customers. All forms of payment are accepted and the prices ranged from $5.25 to $10 for a perfectly portioned meal. They are open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday and closed on Sunday. You can reach Bernard or Buaket at 928-515-2435. QCBN
