Residents in three Central and Northern Arizona communities are being asked to share thoughts and reactions about transportation needs and trends.
These forums, sponsored by Arizona Town Hall (ATH) in collaboration with Arizona Deliberates, are scheduled this fall in Prescott, Camp Verde and Flagstaff.
The overall theme for each forum – exploring how the current transportation system is intimately interwoven and its impact on the economy, jobs, communities, health, lifestyle, education, housing and the environment.
“Through these forums, we want to inform Arizona citizens of research and recommendations which came from the 106th statewide Town Hall,” said ATH President Tara Jackson. “We actively look for citizen involvement in identifying solutions for critical policy and economic issues related to the many modes of private and public transportation.”
Arizona Department of Transportation representatives will be presenting information and gathering responses. Recommendations from the forums will become a part of a statewide collection of responses and will be distributed to Arizona Town Hall members, to elected officials and public libraries.
“It’s important that those in policy-making or decision-making positions of influence hear what the people who are affected by those decisions really think,” said Jackson.
Those interested in attending any of the three forums can register online at www.aztownhall.org; or call 602-252-9600.
