The new degree program is designed for RN professionals seeking career advancement in leadership roles. Application for the program and registration is open for classes starting Jan. 13.
This degree will change the lives of countless residents of Yavapai County. It is more than just a degree. Yavapai College works to find the need and endeavors to meet it. YC provides the educational training that our students need to prepare them for living wage jobs that our local businesses so desperately need to support the residents of our county.
“Partnering with Yavapai College helps us to strengthen our workforce now and into the future. We need qualified nurses, we need qualified physicians, and we need qualified support staff,” said Dr. Anthony Torres, CEO of Dignity Healthy Yavapai Regional Medical Center. “The college is going to afford us that opportunity to collaborate for people not only to live here and get educated here, but to have a career here.”
“In the last year, we have seen Yavapai College launch a Behavioral Health Technician program, they’ve launched a Community Health Worker program, all of which was in response to the community need, but also the needs of the providers here. It has been an honor to collaborate with the college on making those things happen,” said Spectrum Healthcare Group Vice President of Business Development Sunshine Dean. “On behalf of Spectrum, I’d like to personally thank the college for really listening to the community’s need and making sure that the college creates customized programs that are designed to serve that need.”
“This new degree shows Yavapai College’s commitment to providing attainable and affordable education to our communities that will strengthen our organization and many others,” said Northern Arizona Veterans Affairs Healthcare System Associate Director of Patient Care Services Rita Hess. “It allows us to further the critical care of our veterans and their families in need. We can’t say enough for all that you’re doing and all the resources that you’re putting forth for this community.”
