The goal was to create a gardening education center to teach people how to garden and grow their own food, a place where we could learn and share the fruits (and veggies) of our labor with those who are affected by food insecurity, a place to have fellowship and work together to build a lush Food Forest. Food Forest Growing with Volunteers, Sponsors, Programs
The launch of the Prescott Food Forest and Gardeners Of Destiny (GOD) Training Program has been a real success. In fact, the eight-week Winter Greenhouse Gardening Course is sold out and has hosted 30 passionate local residents that want to learn how to grow food. In Prescott, it’s an idea ripe for the picking: a gardening discovery center exploring the world of growing food and eating healthy for all generations, to be called the Prescott Food Forest.
