Fourteen years ago, former Prescott Valley Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Marnie Uhl started a scholarship program to connect businesses with schools and to help local students gain skills to stay and work in the community after graduation. Republican Women of Prescott Awards Scholarship Funding to Five Local High School Students
The Republican Women of Prescott presented scholarships totaling $11,000 to five Yavapai County high school seniors during their meeting on May 13. Four of these students will be attending universities in Arizona, while one will pursue a trade school education to become an esthetician.
